Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has counseled Lieutenant Yerima, the naval officer who stood as much as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, over disputed entry to a parcel of land in Abuja.
Addressing journalists at a ministerial press briefing on the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Celebration held on Wednesday, on the Nationwide Defence School, Abuja, the minister mentioned the Federal Authorities will defend and shield each member of the Armed Forces performing their lawful duties.
“On the Ministry, and certainly inside the Armed Forces, we are going to at all times shield our officers on lawful responsibility.
“We’ll at all times shield our officer. He has finished nicely. We gained’t permit something occur to him.
