Atiku Abubakar, a former vice chairman of Nigeria has reacted to the Monday assault by some bandits on the Authorities Women Complete Senior Secondary College, Maga, in Kebbi State.
Atiku, in an announcement issued on his social media pages mentioned he’s devastated by the report of the bandits’ assault which led to the killing of the vice principal of the varsity, Hassan Yakubu Makuku and the kidnapping of over 20 feminine college students.
Describing such an assault as tragic, the previous presidential candidate mentioned the incident is one other reminder of the worsening safety state of affairs in Nigeria.
He wrote, “I’m devastated by the information of the tragic assault on Authorities Women Complete Senior Secondary College, Maga, in Kebbi State, which claimed the lifetime of the Vice-Principal and led to the kidnapping of harmless college students.
“That is yet one more reminder of the worsening insecurity in our nation,” Atiku mentioned.
