President Bola Tinubu has permitted the deployment of a full military brigade to Kwara to deal with rising instances of kidnapping and banditry within the state.

The deployment comes as a part of a renewed army operation focusing on prison hideouts throughout the forests of Kwara South and Kwara North.

Based on the Kwara authorities, heavy army gear and personnel have begun transferring by communities in Oke-Ode and Babanla, each in Ifelodun native authorities space.
