The management of the Petroleum and Pure Fuel Senior Workers Affiliation of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has suspended its three-day strike over a dispute with Dangote Refinery.
At an ongoing press briefing, the union additionally cautioned the refinery’s administration towards reneging on the Treaty reached throughout a marathon assembly held on the Workplace of the Nationwide Safety Adviser (NSA).
President of PENGASSAN, Festus Osifo, who introduced the suspension, warned that the union wouldn’t hesitate to reply if the corporate did not honour the deal.
“If the corporate reneged on its Treaty, the union wouldn’t take it flippantly,” Osifo said.
The standoff between PENGASSAN and Dangote Refinery stemmed from the unionisation of some refinery workers, a improvement that triggered tensions between each events.
