JUST IN: Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Priest in Kogi

The parish priest of St. Paul Parish, Agaliga-Efabo in Olamaboro Native Authorities Space of Kogi State, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Ezemba, has been kidnapped.

He was reportedly kidnapped on Saturday in Imane, Olamaboro LGA, alongside a number of yet-to-be-identified commuters on the Imane–Ogugu street.

The incident has plunged the Catholic neighborhood within the space into misery.

A fellow priest, Rev. Fr. Michael, mentioned, “Since his abduction three days in the past, the abductors haven’t made contact. However we’re assured that God will ship him safely. We strongly imagine within the energy of prayers, and we belief he’ll regain his freedom.”

Safety operatives, together with the police, troops, and the Kogi East Neighbourhood Watch, are reportedly combing close by forests in the hunt for the abductors.

The event comes barely every week after one other abduction in Olamaboro LGA. On 7 September, a authorized practitioner, Barrister A. B. Shaibu, was kidnapped between Etieke and Okugoh.
