The Federal Fireplace Service (FFS) has introduced that it’ll audit private and non-private buildings throughout the nation following the September 16 fireplace outbreak at Afriland Tower on Broad Road, Lagos Island.
Controller-Basic of the FFS, Samuel Adeyemi Olumode, made the announcement on Thursday.
The CG mentioned an investigation workforce has been deployed to ascertain the causes of the incident, overview security techniques and verify compliance with fireplace security rules.
In line with him, the findings of the investigation shall be made public and the suggestions carried out at once.
The FFS urged facility homeowners and managers to overview their security readiness, safe inverter and generator rooms, unblock exit pathways, guarantee alarms are useful and practice workers.
Olumode commiserated with Zacch Adedeji, Govt Chairman of the Federal Inland Income Service (FIRS), Tony Elumelu, Chairman of UBA, in addition to the administration and workers of the affected organisations and households of the deceased.
