The Affiliation of Resident Docs of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (ARD-FCTA) has suspended its indefinite strike.
President of the affiliation, Dr George Ebong, confirmed the event on Friday, stating that members are anticipated to renew duties on Monday, 22 September 2025, by 8 a.m.
In line with him, the suspension adopted the intervention of the Senate Committee on Federal Territory Space Councils and Ancillary Issues, in addition to out of respect for the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.
Dr Ebong, nonetheless, pressured that not one of the medical doctors’ calls for had been met on the time of submitting the report.
“The Senate intervened. Regardless that none of our calls for have been met but, they assured us that they’ll speak to the Minister. We hope the Minister will hearken to us, as a result of we respect him,” he stated.
ARD-FCTA had on Monday declared an indefinite strike over poor working situations, poor remuneration, and different unmet calls for.
